Christ Followers Live Differently
In Matthew 5, Jesus sits down with His disciples and begins what we know as the Sermon on the Mount. His words reveal a way of living that often looks very different from the values of the world around us.
Beginning with the Beatitudes, Jesus describes the character of those who follow Him: poor in spirit, compassionate over sin, meek, hungry for righteousness, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers, and faithful even in persecution. These aren't simply qualities to admire—they reveal what happens when our hearts and lives are surrendered to Christ.
In the first message of Lessons from the Mountain, Pastor John challenges us to examine what it truly means to follow Jesus and reminds us of a foundational truth: Christ-followers live differently.
