Christ Followers Are Honorable

In Matthew 5:33–37, Jesus challenges His followers to live with such integrity that their word can be trusted. Rather than relying on promises, appearances, or carefully chosen words, Christ-followers should be known for honesty and consistency—letting their “Yes” be “Yes” and their “No” be “No.”

Living honorably means telling the truth, keeping our word, being dependable, and choosing to live above reproach. In a world where deception and broken commitments are common, followers of Jesus are called to be different. Our character should reflect the nature of Christ and give others a reason to trust both our words and our actions.
