Christ-followers Do Not Judge
Sep 13, 2026 • Pastor John Jordan
In Matthew 7, Jesus challenges His followers to reject a judgmental spirit and instead examine their own hearts first. Judgmentalism condemns others, focuses on their faults, blinds us to our own weaknesses, and can prevent us from genuinely helping the people around us.
Jesus isn’t calling us to ignore right and wrong—He calls us to approach others with humility, wisdom, and compassion. Before pointing out the speck in someone else’s eye, we must be willing to deal with the plank in our own.
Christ-followers aren’t called to throw stones. We are called to meet people where they are, extend the grace we have received, and lovingly call them to a higher level in Christ.
Drop the stones. Meet them where they are. Call them to a higher level.
