A Biblical Worldview Response to Immigration

Feb 8, 2026    Pastor John Jordan

We often hear the phrase, “We are a nation of immigrants.” Historically, that is true. From the earliest colonies to the waves of newcomers through Ellis Island, America has long been shaped by people seeking opportunity, freedom, and a better future. But in our current cultural moment, immigration has become one of the most complex and emotionally charged issues facing our nation.

So how should followers of Jesus respond?

In this message, we will step away from partisan talking points and turn to the Word of God. What does Scripture say about our posture toward those who are different from us? How should we think about law, national identity, and compassion? What responsibility does the Church have when a nation drifts from a Biblical worldview?

Drawing from Romans 12 and 13, we will explore three essential responses:

- Behave like a Christian – Loving without hypocrisy, showing empathy, walking in humility, and overcoming evil with good.

- Submit to governing authorities – Understanding God’s design for order and law.

- Put on Christ – Awakening spiritually and allowing the moral clarity of Scripture to shape both our private lives and public convictions.

This message is not about fear. It is about faithfulness.

It is not about anger. It is about alignment with Christ.

As our culture wrestles with questions of borders, identity, and justice, we will ask a deeper question:

Are we responding first as Americans… or as Christians?

Join us as we seek to think clearly, love biblically, and live faithfully in a divided age.
